Next 5 games - points?
Our next 5 games are:

2 April
Southampton (h) - absolute must win for us - we can do this lot at home.

Wednesday 5 April - could we get something?- draw
Newcastle (h)

Saturday 8 April - This season the league position says we lose (but you never know) - loss
Fulham (a)

Sunday 16 April - no chance - loss
Arsenal (h)

Saturday 22 April
AFC Bournemouth (a) - draw i reckon

Given how shit we look does predicting 5 points mean i need my head examining?
31 games and 29 points means we're really in the shit

Surely too late to change managers now so we're completely jiggered..

Ok so we ended up with 10 points from those 5 games.

Anyone predict that?

Re: Next 5 games - points?
who knows, but to stay in this league you'll need 6 or 7.

Re: Next 5 games - points?
I’d already predicted - 8 pts from the 5 games.

But if we lose to the Saints that could be well off and I could then see us just collapsing.

We have struggled to beat the saints in the past couple of seasons although we could of had 5:or 6 against them at St Mary's earlier in the season but for wasteful finishing.

Saints (Draw)
Newcastle (draw)

Moyes departs

Fulham away win)
Arsenal (draw)
Bournemouth (home win)

Southampton (h) - narrow win 3pts
Newcastle (h) - draw 1pt
Fulham (a) - draw 1pt
Arsenal (h) - loss
AFC Bournemouth (a) - Win 3pts

8pts.

Re: Next 5 games - points?
As long as we beat the Saints I can see us going on and getting 8 pts in total from those 5 games.

Beat Saints and Fulham plus a draw off Newcastle and Bournemouth.

If we manage to somehow lose to Southampton I can see the wheels falling off and us just collapsing to relegation.

Re: Next 5 games - points?
Bobbing along at about a point a game average so two wins and three defeats.

We might escape relegation but I cannot see a scenario where we pull clear of the relegation bunch this season.

So, we apparently have easiest run in of the bottom 9 clubs.

Interesting article on bbc

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64985188

We have low % chance of relegation according to statistical analysis in comparison to other teams in bottom 9. Let's hope it's accurate.

A big difference of opinions here I see, which only backs up what I have been saying - which is no one really has a scooby as it's too early still. That said, the Soton game really is big.
